Ohioans planning a route from 422 through Greenville PA up to Salamenca - yes the casino is calling.

Need a pavement only route (sorry to admit) going to have a mix of riders. Looking at route 62 up through oil city.

Need some advice, side roads, and interesting stopping points.

    Thanks!

The nice portion is from Oil City north. A real nice side trip is RT 666 from East Hickory to Sheffield. Depending on your time, or the return trip, RT 59 from Warren to Smethport, this takes you past Kinzua dam.

Try to ride Longhouse scenic road from 59 to 321. I have not been on it this year but it used to be GREAT!

I grew up in Warren, PA... urgh. Anyway, this time of the year most of the roads will be fine as far a scenery, leaves etc. Only warning is that the stretch of road between Franklin and Oil City is a SPEED TRAP.... watch your speed.

Rode some of this area today and found most of it in good condition. Rt62 was perfect but 666 had a road closed sign around Minister PA. The detour sent you on a dirt road for probably 6 or 8 miles but the road was easy. There where several Harley riders setting at the road closed sign and I smiled and waved :wave as I took the detour. Rt59 was fine and Longhouse scenic byway was better than I had remembered and is a must do.

Some stop when the pavement ends,
some stop when the road ends,
    some don't stop.

I was through that area yesterday.
    Very nice roads...62 , 36, ,949,and of course 666.
The bridge is being replaced, moorings are complete...maybe a couple more weeks??
Here's my 666 Harley story about a month ago.
A bunch sitting at the road closed sign,I pull over to wait for my buddy.
Harley guy: "Where the detour go to"
Me: " I don't know not from here"
    H.G.: " That a Zumo"
    Me :"Yup"
H.G.: "How you like that back brake on your Beemer? My buddy crashed because of his"
    Me:" Oh"
H.G :"That back brake wont stop that bike.....Blah Blah Blah.......
    Me: " Gotta Go"
Guess they don't know what the front brakes for:D
    Any how..... good riding in that area,also a little East..Route 46, 146,155,607,872

You won't be sorry if you check it out.

Looked for Simpler Times going and coming home, didn't see it. What is it?

THANKS TO ALL - GREAT RIDE

To everyone who helped me on this post - thank you. It was a great ride.

    Some Notes
    - 321 going North up to the park has been recently paved. It is fantastic.
    - Longhouse - Outstanding, we were the only ones on it yesterday. You can fly on that road.
    - 666 It is not closed anymore and you can get all the way through.

That Casino is REALLY nice if you are into that sort of stuff - Plus I won at the craps table so I am biased.
