I was given it by a music friend way back in the 80's when I was at university. I used play a mandolin in a band and they thought I could do with one! I had no idea what it was when I opened the box.

My cooking has improved too, but I do all the cooking so I guess that makes me head chef in our household.

Walked up to the bakery with my grandson for a gingerbreadman, croissant and a coffee first thing. The local vege shop was queued out the door. FFS....have people learned nothing from last time??.
While we sat consuming our respective purchases there was nose to tail traffic heading through our normally quiet little suburban backwater. Presumably off to the supermarket to rape and pillage the toilet paper. We might be a team of 5 million but some of the team are ignorant, selfish wankers.
This lockdown is going to be different for me as this time my lovely daughter in law is back at work and I'll have a three year old and 10 month old to look after three days a week. I don't think I'll get as much time in the shed...

Feel for the poor tourism sector. They could do without this. But its probably the first of many such outbreaks. And for anyone who had to postpone a wedding until August this year. That would break your heart wouldn't it?

I was expecting the whole country to go to level 3 and what happens everywhere not Auckland stays at level 2.

I was speaking with an Aucklander this evening and he was not happy staying at level 3 but its for our own good.
It could easily have been somewhere else in the country and the roles would have been reversed.
