I was in Philly for the day, Sat., and saw more R.E. 650s in one day than I have total before today. Even went by the dealer. Nice looking bikes.

Quite well. It is my new favorite bike!
The V7 Racer is now up for sale (see the flea market, will be adding more pics tonight).
I love the Monster, but, the Thruxton is equally fun to ride.

The torque is intoxicating. It makes as much torque as the R1200RS, just hits redline sooner.

And, of course, it is just plain beautiful to look at!

I've lusted for one of these since they were introduced in 2016. A friend was selling a low-miles 2017, so, I grabbed it.
It has Speed Twin cast alloy wheels, which are lighter and tubless!
The wire wheels came with it too, as did the Racer fairing, and Vance & Hinds exhaust that were part of a promotion when he bought it.
The exhaust will be put up for sale, the stock exhaust sounds great to me.

    Can you say "narrow"?

That tank looks great from that point of view...

but it's gonna make your butt look wide! :lol3

That's one of the first mods I'd do, so having it done already is a plus. :clap

My wife's Scout 60 had a 120ish mile range and we still managed to plan 500+ mile days on it. I did carry extra fuel on my bike just on case, or I could've carried a syphon hose since I have a 200+ mile range.

Why does it have a gas mask strapped to the front of it?

I know a guy who bought one.
And then spent another $4,000 trying to make it go fast.
In the end, he let it go.

Not surprising, really. The 300's and the 500's are all about efficiency and range, not power.

I was thinking more along the lines of just using it for a mix of commuting and casual trail/dirt roads. No need for speed. I have a Speed Triple RS at the moment so it would be totally different. Used to have a 800gs but it got too top-heavy for my old knees.

Y'all be careful now, hear? Scooters are way more fun than they should be. I suspect in some locations they are illegal as they are way more fun than most folks should be allowed to have.

After 15 years of owning Japanese vanilla motorcycles, I’ve got a hankering for a Hypermotard 1100. I wouldn’t mind having a sexy kickass motorcycle for those “just for fun” rides.

Haven’t had a chance to throw a leg over one yet, but hopefully my 30” inseam doesn’t let me down.

Hopefully you don't mind stopping with one foot down, with your butt off to that side. :lol3

34" inseam, and the 2008 1100S I owned for 8 years was no problem for me. Definitely one I miss having.

Currently rocking with a 2018 BMW r1200rs, and a 2016 Triumph Speed Triple, but dreaming of switching up to this combo.
