Been fiddling a bit lately on the SE.
    Just for a change.

New air filter. Took the Rottweiler off and will put that on the SM or maybe sell. Much easier filter changes and cleaning than the Rottweiler setup.

New second hand Emig triples and damper. Came with an Adventure post mount which doesn't fit the SE but Alon at Triple Clamp Moto helped me out.
Probably because I have spent a bit there over the last few months.

And a little bit of protection.

Pretty sad. When you realise that you have more new parts for old BMW’s than BMW Australia

Another box of new parts to sort through

Airing up for the run down the mountain.
Don't know why they say you shouldn't ride alone.

I might have thawed by then.
Didn't like turning back but I knew the snow was only getting deeper and I would be in it for awhile of I had continued on.

Sunday arvo, bent, ground and drilled flat bar to make some brackets, Yesterday cut some box section and welded said brackets on plus angled both ends of both pieces of box and welded them shut, wire buffed and prime coated, made sheetmetal pattern. This morning painted steel satin black and cut 3mm ally plate as per pattern. This afternoon fitted box section pieces to bike and folded ally plate, trial fitted to box section and realised it looked shit, so took it off again, flattened out two folds, cut bits off to change angle/looks, refold, trial fitted, was happy. Should finish by the weekend, will post pics of rear rack when done.

    Mick

Not quite finished, but knocked it together with some tek screws to see what it looks like. Reasonably happy with it, the 2nd hand folder I bought has some nicks and bumps that need cleaning up so unfortunately the ally plate got a few nasty marks in it, will end up painting it black. [IMG]

Took my 2012 GS 1200 out for a pleasant ride to Brisbane, back over Mt Glorious and Esk to Toowoomba.
    Windy, but a lovely day

Whilst in Brisbane I went in to Morgan and Wacker BMW and took a new 1250 GSA out for a test ride.
New motor and Fuel injection is really nice. Flat Panel display is clear even in the Sun and it is certainly very well balanced.
at $35,000.00 + I may have to work for a while longer to afford one.

    Or maybe sell a Kidney
