No dirt today, but bike went great. Loaded some spares onto the bike and had a ride in the mountains to get to know it. Rear brake needs a bleed, Achro's are awesome, heaps of compression and no slipper clutch:lol3

FINALLY (there's a statement!) finished the race bike parts. :0-0 Plain white - it's an LC after all.
Discovered that the parts I ordered, paid for and paid for Express Post, last Wednesday, have still not left the building. :baldy

And reminisced about my 950, thanks to Poppy. (which was in a proper colour).:ricky

My Vstrom has officially been written off. Spent the day tyre kicking for a new bike. Had a look at a new F750GS, MG850TT, CB500X and another 650 Vstrom. Been raining most the day, so no test rides.

Nice, they even almost colour matched this bike to my helmet.

The bike shop kept on finding bent parts. Started off with $12k damage, then 13k, 14k and finally $15k. That was enough for the bike to classed as a total loss. Think Mark Marquez highside, well mine not that dramatic. :)

Jeepers not sure I'd want that shop putting the bike back on the road for me. Tenere 700 will be here in 2 months...

I did not want my bike repaired either. Falling off your bike is worth fixing. Being rear ended is a different story.

It probably had a cracked beak. Once the beak is broken it can't be fixed...

That explains it. The beak is scratched:) The surprising thing of the accident was. How much damage to the bike the Givi crashbars caused. The bike would not have written off if not for the crashbars. The top front mount deformed and pushed into and bent the radiator and scratched the the fork tube top holder thing. Never known what is the correct name for the top part of upside down forks ?

Spark plugs on the daughter F650GS(800) what a pain the the arse that was and will be putting the rest of the bodywork on today.

Alternator belt and spark plugs on my 1200GS, much much easier job, will be having a crack at making a rear rack today, I found a large piece of alloy plate yesterday 400mm x 300mm x 5mm lying under a stack of other stuff that I thought I'd already used.

I'm going to make it to have a couple of uses, just a standard rack for strapping things onto and a base for bolting the standard GS top box too, failing that I'll see if I can get a cheap Chinese top box to bolt to it, I need to mount it so I can open the lid and not hit the gearsack type bar that hold the gearsack bag on.
