Pulled the XR400 out for a ride....kicked her over...wont start.
    No compression! :cry
Had a quick look. Rocker arm on the exhaust side isn't coming back up properly and is holding the valve open. :huh

To hot in the garage to pull it apart now and find out why.
Back up on the stand and onto the PC for a game. :cry

Nipped up to the blue duck for lunch, I considered wandering over falls creek / hotham but after a great steak I decided I'd just turn around and wander home. 480 km of guzzi heaven .

Fitted a new acewell ace speedo to the Klx that was replaced by acewell.
The first one i fitted ,the speed & rev counter were really erratic,up & down like a hookers knickers.
Acewell swapped it no worries.,all good now :1drink

I bought a 97 Belgarda TT600,basically all the suspension and wheels are going into this and the motor will be a very tough xt-tt 640-700cc.

    How they Hangin' Bill?
Not Lucas, but it seems that the poms still haven't learnt how to keep the smoke in. :(
Yes, a design problem, so I can expect something similar 'ron.

Now switching the the elsie. Organising the parts to give me a spare wheels set, so I can have alternative gearing. Got 15 to 18 teeth countershaft sprockets. Think I'll go +2 teeth on the wheel.

Removed the OEM xr400r bars and put on some Renthal hi bend RC bars. Test rode for 2 hours in creek beds, sand, hard clay and steep shale rocky tracks.
Feels like a new bike :clap
I was that excited the chain even got a squirt of lube before I rode.

Nothing for me today just the commute all week great weather here in the Capital this time of year - cool mornings and glorious evenings.

Been focused on the new deck dabbing paint here and there. Its been reconfigured so I can slip a few bikes underneath - builder owns 10 or so Indians (veteran, vintage and post war) understands.

Tomorrow I will service the X7, G/S (holds about 4+ litres) and change husky oil.
