I rode mine up to 105 mph, just because I could.

Mounted and balanced a rear shinko 705. I think my rims need to be trued. The spokes are equally tight and have the same tone when rung, but runout is clearly visible by eye. Wonder what spec is?

Did you see the runout with no tire on it? Sometimes the tire will look off on a straight rim.

greetings jvb, I used the lip of the rim as a point of reference.

    ^^^ Nice looking bike.

Just a random thought. I am so glad that we don't have everyone naming their bike "Triple Black" or "TB" in every description anymore. For a while I thought we would need an entirely different forum for the TB people.

    Ok, rant over. :lol3

Can you be more specific? I never felt TB owners were overly specific about being a Triple Black person or owner. I had one and never boasted or did I?

Oh man Adam, there was a year or so (maybe prior to your arrival) that every swinging dick who had one had to mention it in every post. I'm glad that died out over time as TB wasn't offered as a factory option anymore.

Other than being the most expensive trim for a couple of years (A $400 paint job), I feel the Rally (GS) or Rally Colors (GSA) were way fancier and special. Oh well. we're all GS owners.

Zackly, whatever trips your trigger. But I fail to understand how a paint job makes the owner special. :deal

And it was never really Triple Black anyway, it was 2 shades of gray powder coat with black plastic.

On the way home from a meeting last night I observed a car coming my way with it's high-beams on. I had to wait for the car in front of it to clear, but as soon as it did I gave the driver the full brunt of my D4's for about a second. :evil I did feel a little sorry for the driver of the pickup in front of me though.

I moved my radar detector external speaker to a position I can now hear it when it alerts. I cut my damn finger with a new box cutter blade (with a new blade) in the process, probly needed stitches, I'll let the wife look at it when she gets home, she's a nurse. I'm on blood thinner and aspirin too, I bleed like a stuck pig, well I'm fat like one too.

My favorite bandages, paper towel and electrical tape. Also side cutters are your friend if possible. Resist the urge of using sharp objects
