It sounds like you are using a SS (stainless steel) stud and nylok nut assembly. If so the SS thread has most likely 'galled'. You need to force the stud out or try and crack the nut off using a cold chisel if you can get at it. It is always wise to use nickle ant-seize compound with SS threads. The very tuff SS oxides bond together.

I think the issue is the registration sticker placement. In the middle like that is not right, it's supposed to be in the allotted spot on the right side or the plate. So, yeah illegal.

Too much opinion on that. Any water resistant, high moly content, lube is fine.

Well, thanks. Now that I've popped over there to buy a little tube of this for "my first time". . . . I find myself filling up the shopping cart. But it's a good thing. $4 for a final drive fill bottle, stuff like that. Trying not to buy a new battery while I'm in there. Mines 6 years old but still working perfectly. Feel like a kid in a candy store.

Not on all of my bikes here in NY. Maybe they changed the plate recently. Don't know, but my bikes, not only the newer orange and blue plates but the older blue and white ones all have the stickers on the right side, there is a spot that says "sticker" on them to know where to place it.

My orange and blue plates are about three years old so maybe they changed them in the last three years.

Jury is out if it is the bestest, but it's very good successor to previous Honda Moly 60 from the same mfg: Honda M-77

I have numerous registered bikes in NY.
Some of the plates have the sticker spot in the corner and some of them are top center. I think the newer ones are top center.
    All are orange and blue.

Will post some MUCH better photos on my ride report thread when I’m back home but up north, a few miles from Maine/Canada border, we rode our GS bikes up to the top of an ATV trail and camped out:
