    Well, I don’t know...

Unless you have an A&P license yourself, you can’t install any new upgrades & farkles yourself. You can’t even do you own maintenance. You gotta pay someone else to do it, which can be a compelling reason to NOT buy them.

My primary CFI, who was also a CPA, said he’d run the numbers and unless you were flying at least 200 hours per year, it’s cheaper to rent. Can’t prove he was right but i never flew anywhere near that much in a year. Our hangar rent was also pricey, so that may have been factored into his numbers.

    I did something unique today.

I simply went for a ride. Down the same highway I ride almost every ride. But... without a purpose. No speeding away. Just lazily enjoying the feel of the bike under me at a steady speed and no traffic. No real concentration (usually never a good thing).

just floated along 25 miles out, 25 miles back, with a stop for pizza & iced tea.

    5am.
    Start bike.
    Roll it out of shop.
    Turn around to lock door.
Bike falls over with my back turned.

    What I learned:
    1) The clearwaters canbus connection reads the crash detection circuit and turns the lights on strobe during an accident.
    2) A strobing Sevina at 5am is a pretty fucking spectacular thing. I'm still seeing spots an hour later :photog

I just looked and it didn't capture it. :cry

I have a new AI tracking camera I added to the array and it was busy tracking my wife and the dogs when it happened.

    Off topic:
The Illuminati camera is pretty amazing technology if you haven't seen one. It has 25x optical zoom and will actually add and remove IRs from the image at night to compensate for distance. It will auto-track objects as per your settings (line cross, object framing, etc).

Here's a cat it tracked the other night on our property - this video was shot completely automatically by the camera while we were asleep - the panning, zooming, etc was done by the AI:

Compare that to the last time a Bear came up the driveway on my old static camera:

I eagerly away the next time our local Lion or Bears visits :lurk

Keep in mind it is high power POE. That said, it comes with an injector so you don't need to drain all of your watts from your POE switch :thumb

Last off topic post, I have a 400 watt POE switch and I think I'm only using about 85 watts now with my 5 access points so I should be under the threshold but nice they included in injector. I'd love to get two of these but one thing at a time. We have HomeKit cameras that have 'people detection' and they do work but the cameras themselves are very low resolution. They were a gift so we have them just inside facing the doors.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, hasn't this happened to you and this same motorcycle, in the same driveway before?
