Might be going to Central Eastern Arkansas in the next few weeks. Any good swimming holes or rivers to hang out at. Maybe cool cabin to stay, great scenery???

Queen Wilimena State Park..there is camp sites and a lodge up there..alot of the town was severly damaged recently by a tornado a month or so back..while there, drive over to Heavner OK and check out the boulder the vikings brought in..once in Mena, just ask around for stuff to do and surely someone will mention sumthin that will catch your attention.

I just rode through there yesterday. It was raining there and everywhere north of there so I imagine the river level is up right now. Don't now if that will hold out for the next couple of weeks though.

Check out www.gomenaarkansas.com for more things to do in the area.

The Talimena National Scenic Byway offers some great scenic views!

Mount Magazine is not in Mena, though it is the highest point in Arkansas at 2753 Feet. It's located just south of Paris, Arkansas...

Mena? Talimena Drive. Queen Wilhelmina State Park...

Rich Mountain, near the park, is supposedly the second highest peak in the State.

The wife settled on Mount Magazine as a base. Maybe we can check out most of the area. Her family was originally from Chidester AR, down south of there. Thanks again!
