I'm not a moderator or admin, and I've got smilies.

The button is next to the post image button. :clap:beer:becca

As I understand it, there is no html allowed. This is a security thing. It's all BBCode now.

I posted this somewhere but don't think this thread was up: thanks for the hard work - one thing: The serif font is hard to read - helvetica or another sans serif is so much easier on the eyes. I feel like I'm typing a wedding invitation here.

That was in regards to seeing location over by the avatars. It's still not visible, but another field is now.

Search doesn't work at all, the old one worked fine for me and I don't see a way to search by username and threads started by said user even if it did work.

Failed to post the above. I'll try again.

Where is the new posts button?

In the reply box, there is a smily face to the left of the insert picture button (looks like a mountain range). Click that and the smilies menu come up. Most of the old ones are in there split up in different tabs.

Okay, I upped the image limit to 40. Is that enough? The reason for the 20 limit is some people's browsers crash. So upping it to 40 will probably make some people say the new system is horrible, it crashes my browser.

Unfortunately, we can't render HTML and XML in posts anymore. It opens us to malicious hacks.

These are old posts from before the update. They show a lot of extra crud now, that can't be edited out due to the 20 pics/post limit. Kinda makes the report unreadable.

Lots of lag server side right now folks. It may be causing a lot of the delays, errors, and lack of setting changes. Admins are working it (it's why Baldy pulled the site back down a little while ago).

I was a tapatalk user with the old forum but I think the mobile interface on the new site is great. I've only used it a little but it's very intuitive and easy to navigate. There is a slight delay in the text box when writing a post (a delay after writing the text on my phone) which is slightly annoying for a fast nerd. I'm using Swype on a galaxy s4 with lollipop. I'd definitely file it at the bottom of the list of shit to look at.

Browsing performance is way better than vbulletin via tapatalk, especially image loading. I don't think I'll be missing tapatalk.

Note: hung on posting this. Sounds like it's a known issue.
