I spent this morning sitting around here in Orlando Florida putting together a website. Call it a GPS Googe Earth HowTo sorta.
Its till a work in progress, and I'm looking opinions.

Brand New to the web, I just finished this much of it. :D

I kept it simple on purpose and tried to explain what we are doing and why.
So let the flaming begin. :deal

    I'm working on it......

You need warnings to not click 'OK' before leave that picture or instruction. does not help to have it in the next section. ;) That is too late....

There is no way to back up for mistakes, just have to start all over...
    Sucks to be me.... :cry

Ok let me go reread it and see if I can clear it up.

Ok maybe that will help, I think I see the issue you was referring to.

    I get to here:
And find that I have not done that or can't find it or I'm stupid....

I make a track and it is a line, not points. It saves as a line.

It shows on the topo quad image.

then I'm lost as to what to do next.

Where are you saving the file to?
    I generally use My Document/GPS-files
Looks like you got part of it.
Its saved, if your not sure, do a "save file as" then you can choose the place to put it.

Ok you saved the file as RBLoop.kml,
now you need to run gpsbabel and choose file type, KML, now you need to browse for the file.

    Here this picture might help.
    <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/s5ICgWar4MjFH03vNfJZMQ?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_My9av4AqK90/SfZQzHpGKtI/AAAAAAAABfk/ENeaYeCEZj0/s800/GE30.jpg" /></a>
    Let me know.

    I just seen something.
your trying to use the shortcut to the file. You can't do that. It has to be the actual file. A short cut contains nothing but a link to the original file.

I made a few changes this morning and added a few comments to the images for gpsbabel hopefully it will make it a little easier. Just remember its a work in progress, I appreciate questions and insights on where I need to tweak it.

Let me know how it goes. :D

    Thanks
