Yeah, that is a very nice stand I bought many years ago. It's a Thruster brand. They don't seem to be around anymore.

Itching to test out the new bike. Went on a nice, hot farm ride. Fun but reminded me of why I don’t usually ride in the south in the summer. Digging the new urnge ride.

It's a Harley. I'm lucky just to have navigated that tight corner behind me.

Ordered new batteries for my brother’s and my GS. The stock ones are getting weak. It’s gotta be the heat and they are 2 years old... :dunno

Today my brother and I made a nice run to Triad Seafood in Everglades City and we are now enjoying a 10 year old Scottish single malt at home. We made it a deliberate short day today, after yesterday’s 300 mile run around the big lake and a lunch at Faded in Sebring with a mutual friend of ours..
The only photo I took this weekend....:D

Yes, 2 years is the expiration date for those batteries in Florida...Even with a battery tender...

Yes, it's amazing that none of the OEM batteries in either my trucks or bikes lasted any longer than that.. :puke1
Aftermarket ones however are a different story as one of the truck batteries I bought lasted 7 years (Duracell)

PS: Just got the Westco's from Beemerbonyard in this AM and it was a 5 minute swap. Much better!! :nod

I have been buying cheap batteries off eBay for all of the bikes. Got about 4 yrs out of my first one in the Vstrom. No tender used, killed it from sitting a few times while truck driving. They are AGM batteries from a vendor called batterysharks. They have a website too. Last one was $30 shipped.

My friend had good luck with these, so I tried one. It lasted as well as the Yuasa ones I used to buy.

Now they are all sitting on tenders.

I too, have purchased batteries from Battery Sharks but for my UPS's for the PC's. I was buying Powersport batteries as they are a Yuasa line but for the price, they are not Yuasa quality as far as lifetime. Now I have resorted to Chrome batteries for the bikes as they are half the price and have a great warranty. You can get them shipped direct from their website or Amazon. So far so good.

Picked up some dynamoto stands from Australia. Build quality seems spot on.

Nothing sexy, but I did change the oil in my '09 GS. I'm on the 5K or annually bandwagon for oil changes. Just easier for my old brain to remember...……:)

Got the bike a year ago (August 3, 2019) and only put about 3K on it, but it was time, mileage wise.

First time I've removed the Black Dog Cycle Works skid plate. Easy peasy, and much lighter than I expected for its size.

Will get the parts to do the rear end fluid change and spline lube in the next little bit.

My '96 DR350 got a fresh oil change right before I got it and only has 1800 miles on the clock, so it's good to go for a while......bought it in May, but I'll put it on the August schedule next year..

    Peace
