LPR created a business turning rally bikes into adventure bikes.

Along the way our Sibersky hero Sir Walter scraped up enough dollaridoos to commission one of the finest works of mechanical moto art I’ve drooled over.

He named this creation “Boris”.......i wish he’d chosen Anastasia, or Natalia...even Nikita or Nadia, as this bike is too beautiful to carry the name of the British PM or any other bloke except perhaps Fabio.....

I cannot find any interwobbly reference to this masterpiece since it was completed, and instead of just asking Mr Colebatch directly, I thought it might be nice to ask the “Colllective” to share any rumours or home video or other juicy goss they may have come across.

Sorry Nev, your 990 comes in 2nd.

Look beneath the skin and you’ll find offroad adventure perfection. To me, that is beautiful.

Ignore the angry canadian. He's just still upset that KTM owns GG. Those rally 690's are sick bikes. I've always wanted to build one up, but never wanted to dump the $$$$. Closest I had was my 650X with updated boingers, and Lynx fairing. Great all around bike. :thumb

    Offroad perfection?
A fiberglass tower that will crack the first time it hits the ground?
Brutal KTM wiring that scuffs itself to shreds?
Enough gas to rival the Exxon Valdez and the weight to match?
A front fender hugging the tire so closely it has no choice but to break when it gets jammed with clay?

    Sounds perfect to me!

Ya know how I know all those things suck on a bike??? Cause I owned this one...
One of those bikes you dream of owning, until you actually do, then you realize what a horrible idea it is.

Sorry old mate. Sounds like you’ve had a bad run.
I have one like yours and its been amazing for 65000kms.

But the pictured bike is nothing like ours. But you feel free to carry that anger around .

So....does anyone have news about Boris bike? I saw a couple of pictures of it displayed at a bike show and that’s it

    CounterBalencer??
Naw.. Vibrated like an old XR400 with a crank balanced by an apprentice.
Never trusted riding that bike farther than I was willing to push it back home.
Which i frequently had to do.

If you know of Walter’s rides you would also know very few of us have been able to accomplish what he has. I certainly wouldn’t criticize the choices of a man with his resume.

RU sure about "Nikita"? It's a male name which got misused in the West due to 1990 Luc Besson's film "le femme Nikita".. I suppose the irony got lost in translation.

Here how he looks (14th century folk hero)

He was a skinner/leather tanner according to Wikipedia (so he must have smelled pretty bad) and it might have been earlier in 10th century:

With regards to the 1985 song of Sir Elton John Nikita was an east German border guard on whom he had crash:

Anyways let's get back to bikes
