Just talked to a BMW rider fueling up here in Glennallen, and he mentioned seeing lots of riders all over the state. Like you, I don't know why the delay this year. :dunno But the ones that are getting wet don't seem to be whining as much as those in prior years. Maybe they're breeding a hardier strain of ADVENTURE riders these days. :lol3

Globie and I just did a run over the Denali Hwy last week. Saw only ONE bike rider on the Denail and he was headed the other way.
The road was in great shape and we had only light rain. Lots of Goldwings heading out of Anchorage on the way back.

Missed seeing Jack at the lunch stop in Glennallen.

The number of riders passing through the dorms in Fairbanks has dropped significantly over the past two weeks. In early July there were days when there would be 25 bikes in the lot. Since then there are 4 or 5 on a good day and sometimes only one or none.

On a ride yesterday on the Parks, Denali and Rich highways we saw only a handful of riders. There were none on the Denali.

    $8.00 for gas. :huh
Perfect. The only solution is to pay by plastic and don't look at the price on the pump until you get the bill. Otherwise too frightening.

That bike definitely needs some more farkles. :nod But it looks good as it is anyway.

Ride safe - the bears are out along the Cassiar this time of year, getting ready to fatten up on unwary tourists before they hibernate. :huh
