:eek1 :lol3 Dude you must be OK because you didn't say anything about broken body parts. How did you manage to put 'er down? Sounds like the KLR hive conclusions about the stock bars being made out of butter are correct (that is, if you are still running the stock bars). See, just when I start to get the nuts up to go play with Whip and the Austin DS guys, I hear about this kind of nonsense :D.

Yep, I survived, just a knock to my pride. I am finally back to Texas from a thanksgiving break in New Mexico. So this is what my handle bars looked like:

    And the New ones:

The new one are Pro Taper ATV HIs. They fit perfectly and I bought them from CycleGear here in Austin ($70). They are tall, but fit well. I tried a tapered bar set but it wouldn't work unless I put 1.5" of risers on the triple clamp. The bars themselves are about twice as thick as my old KLR steel bars.

DaWhip- I am ready for round 2:norton

I am clearly a little slow about posting pictures. I will work on that.

And the front view: what's funny about this picture is if you look through the windshield, you can see how badly I bent my luggage rack on the right side :evil
