It was a beautiful day so I rode thirty miles to the only place around with clouds and rain.

Olympic NF FR3067 I went to Mitas E-07 much better on all surfaces. I suppose if you wanted to flip broadies all day the Shinko would be alright. Ditched it before 2000 miles.

Yes. I love it here in Mn, but I see pics like that and I do get a wee bit jealous sometimes.

My first pair of Red Wings were like having an orgasm for my feet! I've had Red Wings for years, always great. The last two pair of Red Wings were an absolute nightmare, my complaints only brought me further irritation. I still have one pair (gave away the other pair) in my closet but they never get worn, expensive dust collectors. Sorry, never again.

Liz and I rode to the farmers market in Danville to do a little shopping. Very nice weather starting out at about 60f and didn't get much above 70f until we were 5 miles from home and then it got to warm. Almost 200 miles to pick up a few things. A good day.

Oh no, in the PNW we have floods, earthquakes, volcano eruptions, pestilence, forest fires, moss, rain with continues gray skies, giant banana slugs and a lot more....

IMG_2930.jpeg ^ Actually the PNW is nothing compared to the Hell that is Montana - we hear South Dakota is nice however.

A bit like the Mississippi River valley awful place smells like dead fish and diesel, everyone in WI is drunk in IA they're all boring , in MN they're all so busy yielding to one another it takes forever to get any place. I love the prairie and SD.

You’ll never get everyone to SD. Once the black hills are full there’s nothing but the wind to slow their exit down.

Inaugural ride in the new rig - 1995 1100gs w/ 1990s ural tub. From northern maine back to rhode island a couple weeks ago. The ~ 5.5 hours of riding went smooth, although the day started at 37 degrees with light snowflakes, but by the time we hit Portland, ME area was perfect riding conditions.

The dog was happy to be back in a tub after a 4 year hiatus (project took a little longer than expected). lots of little projects happening over the next couple months to get this thing to where we want it, but rides great.

IN honor of the new set up a couple of throwback pictures to previous rigs...different rigs...same dog

Went to the tips of a few of our local ( Midcoast Maine) peninsulas today. Foggy near the water early. Top, Spruce Head, Bottom, a historic church in South Cushing.

Is it just the photo or is the axle bent on that sidecar?

No, the axle and swingarm are fine. Unlike my old Sputnik. The more lightly built swingarm on that had a slight twist. I think it had a hard life before I got it.
This Ural sidecar swingarm is pretty robust.
