Hell with them if they can't take a joke!
Like all others who have read this story, I absolutely found it fasinating. You are one of a kind. I absolutely love your photo's and the way you express yourself. I feel like I have known you forever.
I do have one question for you. What kind of laptop did you take with you? I didn't see anywhere where you said or showed it. It must have been a good one to survive your whole trip.
Like others have told you, if you ever get out to Boise Idaho it would be a pleasure to meet you and Steverino if he should ever want to ride this far.
My wife and I are going on our first long trip this Aug. up to Glacier National park. But after reading your story it really isn't long at all.
Take care and hope to see many more pictures and stories in the future from you.
Les in Boise.
Yeah that Steverino guy is a big old poser who never rides anywhere. oser
She has a Gateway laptop and the jury is still out if it survived or not.
This thread "ruined" my day. Saw it at 6am and just finished it at 7pm (with one BACA ride in the middle of the day). I got no chores done at all and it is now too dark to mow. Guess i'll go see what my family is doing, or if ehtey are at home even....
Congrats on a great ride, fantastic photos, and a super report. (And the domestic change as well!)
I can only hope to have such a trip some day. (After my daughter goes to college perhaps. Maybe I'll have my wife off the Buell Blast and on something more tour-like.)
The same thing happened to me! I started reading Shog's post and could not stop. My wife kept coming into my office asking me what the hell was I doing? She was sure I was looking at porn! Well, some motorcycle trips reports are like porn, only more exciting. I spent the better part of that day rivoted to the computer screen.
I'm using my 1000 post on Adventure Rider to bump this thread...it represents a woman that has been a great inspiration, mentor and friend.
I want others to have the chance to read some of this report, especially the new women riders, and hopefully have Gwen's wonderful spirit and love of riding rub off on them, as it has me.
I miss you Gwen and look forward to when you can share more of the open road, thru your eyes, with us again!!
All the best for a safe and healthy 2008!!
I don't think I could have said that any better. Thanks FemmeFatale, and congrats on you 1000th post.
speaking of special occasions, I`m using my first post to say that reading this thread was definitely something that does not happen every day
great photos, I mean really great, and even better real life story, with ups and downs, everything...
I enjoyed every second reading and seing the entire trip
thank you Shoganai for sharing it all
Totally, completely amazing. Gods speed in all you do.
Shog ... who?
Great read! As long as it took to read all this, I'm glad I wasn't there while it was happening, or I'd have gotten nothing done for 8 weeks of reading!
this is only the second thread i have read here. i will not say how long it took me. LOL
you folks are ALL really special. thank you ALL for sharing this. this whole thread is a work of art. too bad more of the world can not be as giving as the people involved with this.
best. report. ever.
I had never seen this r/r, I am so glad you bumped it.
Gwen, you are da bomb, Girl.
Now, where can I go?
