Thank you gentlemen. I was initially fearful of damaging something so it could not be returned. I pried off the bottom cap and low and behold. Thank you!!!!
I'm getting ready to change the fuel filter after 32K+ miles. Primarily on-road commuting, and no questionable sources of fuel. I'm trying to decide if I should change the pump for good measure or just the filter. Things seem to be running fine. I do have some starting issues beginning the develop, but when I give it some gas it starts right up. No battery problems, battery is new and I ride almost every day 50+ miles so I never loose charge. I'm making the assumption the filter is starting to clog and giving it more throttle overpowers the clog... for now. Any thoughts?
My pump didn't give out until 75k miles. Lots of questionable fuel sources until then and filters changed roughly every 20k. Change your filters and leave your pump alone. Pack a pump if you plan on buying gas off those shady funnel mother fuckers while wandering around Mexico. That's where mine shit the bed. Good times.
Morning guys, any updates on this Quantum Fuel Pumps kits??? I have the impression I'll have to replace mine, 990 ADV R 2012, and this looks like a good option. They say drop-in installation but I'd like to get some opinions from experience. Thanks! Here's the link https://www.highflowfuel.com/i-3546...adventure-2005-2020-replaces-61007088100.html
Quantum helped me out even if shipping was more expensive then pump itself. But when traveling and bike was left on White Rim Road. And cold weather was on its way price for over night shipping was well worth it. /Johan
