    Thank you gentlemen.

I was initially fearful of damaging something so it could not be returned.

I pried off the bottom cap and low and behold.

    Thank you!!!!

I'm getting ready to change the fuel filter after 32K+ miles. Primarily on-road commuting, and no questionable sources of fuel. I'm trying to decide if I should change the pump for good measure or just the filter. Things seem to be running fine. I do have some starting issues beginning the develop, but when I give it some gas it starts right up. No battery problems, battery is new and I ride almost every day 50+ miles so I never loose charge. I'm making the assumption the filter is starting to clog and giving it more throttle overpowers the clog... for now. Any thoughts?

My pump didn't give out until 75k miles. Lots of questionable fuel sources until then, and filters changed roughly every 20k. Change your filters and leave your pump alone. Pack a pump if you go wandering around in Mexico. That's where mine shit the bed. Good times.
