Sounds great to me!
Yesterday, I got to sit down and look at the maps. The route I am working on, is a loop.
From Florence, through to Copiah, Lincoln, and back to Rankin counties. Ending back in Florence.
How are you guys doing, with your routes?
I don't think that was meant as a compliment .
Anywhere in MS. is a great place to ride . SW, SE, NW, NE , Central , N, E, W, S, it's all good, just some easier and more familiar . Wilk, Amite, good, Rodney , good, levees , good, Tishamingo , good , Rankin, Copiah, Simpson, good . Let's ride
Don't know what FAST JACK , the dirt bike kid , has against 'Sippi , though . :huh
Drove half the route today. Got stopped by some deranged hunters. So that part of the route has been taken out, Damn Hunters!
Didnt ride it yet as I dont have the GPS yet. Used my maps, and Blackberry GPS, would have been impossible on the Honda. The first leg from Terry to Brookhaven is 110 miles. 50% hardball, 50% dirt!
Southwest MS ride this Spring, any interest?
Kid??? and I've got nothin against Misasippi, I am a native after all. As long as you like mudholes & ditches, theres plenty of ridin here. I' ve been working on studying my map and looking for a good route between Olive Branch and Bay Springs. I'm good for an all day Sunday ride just about anytime somebody wants to go. I'll be good for some overnighters too in a couple of months.
Let me know when you get that Bay Springs ride routed, I'd love to ride it. I am usually off on Sundays, holla when ya wanna ride.
I'm working on a route from Columbus, up one side of the Ten-Tom waterway and down the other. As much dirt as possible. Now I just have to wait for the snow to melt:huh
More details to come on this route...
I'm about to start a route that is north of starkville, but a bit west of Anti's. Maybe Anti and I can get together and look into combining them. Mine will be mostly gravel/dirt if I can find it when not wet. Of course, thanks to my new #$%^& work schedule, it might take me a bit.
Glad to see some routes are being worked on. I will work on my own soon. After some routine maintenance needed on the bike.
If the weather will work with me.
Change yer oil and get riding man!
Just going to do that now! need to do the valve check too.
Anybody wanna hook up and ride Sun. afternoon?
Hey FAST JACK, we are gonna go for a ride in the morning let me know if ya wanna go. http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=517820&page=8 Thats the thread were we been discussing it. Shoot me a pm, if ya wanna go. Anyone else in the North Ms area wanna go just holla.
I rode some of my Ten-Tom Waterway route Friday. All I'll say is that it's a nice route for a big bike and a good way to destroy some knobby tires on a thumper. Not nearly as much gravel as I had hoped. I rode all the way to Fulton and had to turn around and slab it back due to time constraints. Next weekend I'll ride the return route to the east of the waterway.
On another note: Is anybody else sick and tired of hunting season? These damn mega hunting clubs that lease 20k acres and think that they own the national forest/WMA's are starting to piss me off :ruskie I don't like getting the evil eye from guys holding hi powered rifles...
Yep. I always give it a lil extra gas if they look like they are trying to be intimidating, but with the clutch in, just to make noise.
It's a conspiracy I tell ya.
Did advfrk used to be wspfrk? Jason, is that you Jason? Yoohoo...
