Spanky and I took a week trip out there. We got to ride Wed evening after arriving and then Thur-Fri-Sat. Then two days back home again. Here's a few pics. My second time out there and Spanky's first on the trail rides.
First evening Hurrah Pass
Next day Onion Creek and trip up to 10000 ft and got into some snow on a dead end Top of the Mountain road.
Castle Valley coming down the mountain.
Friday we rode the White Rim Trail. Stopped for pics before decent into Mineral Bottoms.
Along the Green River.
Stop after Hard Scabble Hill.
Me and then Spanky on the White Rim.
Rider coming down Murphy's Hogback.
Spanky and Guido soaking it all in.
On Potash Road coming off the WRT.
Saturday we played tourist and rode through Arches National Park.
Saturday I went up to Dead Horse Point and took a few shots. Down below you can see Potash Road and I am told the fork off of it in the center is the Thelma and Louise movie fame road. Across from it is Chicken Corner which you can't ride around the point anymore.
I got to go there sometime. Absolutely awesome photos.
KLRWorld.com and other KLR forums tie in this event for a yearly gathering. A lot of us are ADV members and this forum was represented as well. We all try to stay at the Canyonlands camp ground in town for nightly story swapping, bike repairing and beer drinking. We didn't seem to get around to the poker run as our rides were basically who ever wanted to tag along could go. Around 30 riders stayed at the camp ground that rode in our different groups.
I could've went out there with Devro if I had more notice.
