Which currently available Garmin GPS has the most sunlight-readable screen?

    This is a somewhat subjective topic...but, I'd say the zumo 595LM is CURRENTLY the brightest in direct sunlight of the Garmin GPS devices marketed for Motorcycle use. There are three components to providing brightness (visibility) in direct sunlight:
    1. A high reflective coating on the Transflective (TFT) display surface,
    2. And/or a very bright Backlight,
    3. And the Map TYP file (or Theme). This 'file' contains, among other things, the definitions for background color(s), line color, line type and line width. The coloration of the Map elements can have significant affect on how one perceives the visibility of the Map.
    There are trade-offs with each of the above.
