I want to change my rear to 18". Bike should be 50/50 Enduro so i was thinking about:

    3,0x18 140/80 and front 2,15x21 90/90
    or
    3,0x18 140/80R and front 1,85x21 90/90

What do you suggest, which is the better 50/50 compromise?
With these wheels Ill use 15/47 sproket.

    1.85 Front is Woody's recommendation for a 50/50 bike.

if you're going 18" rear, that really indicates you want to do a lot more off-road, right?

IMO, go narrow. 1.85" is the answer.

PS: I went 17" rear with a 1.85" front. My goal was sturdier rims for moderate off-highway touring ala Haul Road and Trans Lab. There's no value for me with a true knobby rear on a 500# bike. If I need more tire than an TKC80, I need a different bike.

Unless your rear is busted leave it alone and save your money, no gain in going to an 18 inch for 50/50, I even question it if you wanted more off-road, plenty of good 17 tyres out there.

The 1.85 front is a great compromise.

And why would you go to a 15 sprocket for 50/50, Id want to be 100% hilly dirt before I'd want a 15
