Which Vintage Fuel Tank Is This?

    I'm mostly sure it's a Yamaha DT 125/175/250 tank, but the models of that series went through 3 or 4 different tanks during the series lifetime so I can't claim absolute certainty.

    Notice in these pics of two restomodded XT500s and a restomodded SR250 the tank has a flat straight line on the underside.

    But in these photos of a restored factory DT175 the tank has a slightly round belly on the underside.

    I emailed the builders of all three bikes, but the two XT500 builders didn't respond and the SR250 builder simply couldn't remember where he got the tank because the build was performed over a decade ago.

    The flip top cap started in 1972 on enduro's. At least on the 72 250 Enduro I had.
