hows the move going baz
did you get in to the new place
Settlement on the 8th [Thursday]
One thing about moving yourself, if you can do it - that's fine but if you have collected over the years, you will need to be fairly fit !
Estimated that we will have saved approximately $12-$15K in moving costs, as it is we have spent around $1.5K in storage fees so far
Big push in next fortnight to clear remaining storage !
P.S. = certainly feel a lot better without the mortgage over our heads !!!
you probably found stuff you thought lost
as my mrs says
Well - only have to move one more container load of XS650 parts from parents shed and we'll be finished moving
first night in the new place tonight - it's been heavy going - body is biggest problem - age maybe
lifting and stacking weights could be the problem - arthritis doesn't help
plenty of "painkillers" tonight should ease the issue - be good to get into landscaping again
big plans afoot for all these sheds - really miss the house we built @ Yass - this house is small but comfortable
OK - heading off to Goulburn for the day - changing address etc - so many things dealing in paperwork
P.S. - NO MORTGAGE IS A BLAST !!!!!!
Congratulations on your move, keep going, keep active...
We are currently embarking on a little renovation in stages...
Will be DIY mostly, lucky the missus can work as hard as any man... Demolition of stage one is done... Tradies arnt being cooperative so probably push on ourselves
New bike won in a raffle arrives Monday, not sure what to do with it but the missus is keen...
Regarding age pain inflammation etc, good tucker mild pain killer and just push on is getting me a bit fitter to cope with it a bit better... Nothing like a reno to test the relationship but we seem to have found common earth and still have a sense of humor... Goodluck, btw is your rally on this year... May visit possibly although will be taking oldest stepdaughter (with cancer) for family hols before xmas, see what happens
Just keep pushing ahead people..
Good attitude to have John, wish you, your wife and specially your stepdaughter all the best.
What's this bike you won?
Would you believe a 2017 Hurley (soft tail) breakout, 103 cu in hi cam motor with stage two motor work apparently
Definitely be different
Missus is a bit taken with it, see what happens...
Good for you, you gotta be in it to win it! exited for her to ride it herself, does she ride?
Definitely a good score - looking forward to catching up
Still unpacking / planting trees / veggie garden / designing renos [already]
Off for the last load of bike parts from oldies shed today [Boorowa]
Postponing Bards rally is easier for time being
Stay safe people
No, she's happy just being a pillion
Definitely a surprise winning it....
Wondering if you ever recover from Anxiety related issues - no major episodes - just having sleepless nights and can't work out why ?
Possibly too much planning with new orchards / gardens / shed rebuilding etc
Who knows ? Bloody Cowra Council recycle pick up at 0500 - bloody noisy truck even at 100mts distance ! lucky it's only once a fortnight !
Rant over - should grateful for surviving the last 5yrs
Was second prize 2 Harleys, John?..................
How's everyone travelling ? Feeling better than last time I was on here,
Stay safe - I'll be back on the bike next year after I get the left wrist Carpal Tunnel done in the new year
Anyone doing Micalong Creek for the New Year rally ??
Just saw your post now. Everyone's different but any anxiety I had that kept me from sleeping well pretty much disappeared when I stopped drinking. Earplugs block out noises that might wake me up. https://www.amazon.com/Howard-Leight-MAX-1-Uncorded-Earplugs/dp/B0013A0C0Y
Just finished a major overhaul of one of NSW's oldest power generators. Wake up at 3 am every day in a cold sweat and silently screaming thinking of what is in front of me! Anxiety needs to be faced an defeated.
BMW mob is I believe Baz, but must register i think...
Its a big loud lump (310kg!)
Great in a straight like, like a council grader on corners but loving the experience.
Have a new love for the vstrom again for some reason :)
Your missus sounds awesome.
@hunter_greyghost i moved out of San Francisco to Oregon i can relate to the pain of "how did i get this much stuff?". But i have a she shed now.
