Anybody know who might have wild at heart crash bars for the F800 in stock? F800 Depot is out of stock until sometime in February...and I fully expect to drop my new F800 before that (LOL)

email Johan at Wild at Heart. He is pretty quick to answer questions and does ship directly. They also just released the new bags that mount to the crash bars. He is supposed to be sending me a pic of the bags. Good luck, once you get them mounted properly I think their the best looking bars out there.

They were worth the long bloody wait. Put them on with some k60's. Came back with a crack in the heat exchange / cooler thing (box next to the filter). Anyway bought a good skid plate the next week.

not sure where else to get them, but I managed to get mine from F800 Depot when they had an extra set on order from [email protected] - worth checking into just in case..

they combo up nicely with the BMW skid plate

I just purchased a set of the crash bars and had an issue mounting them. I contacted Wild at Heart and Johan helped me out. He told me about them and is supposed to be sending me a picture. I will post them up as soon as he sends them. I think they are closed for the holidays. I will keep you all posted.

Better check them out at F800 Riders, apparently they are very close fit (3mm) and some have damaged their bikes just trying to install them. If they're that close chances are they'll hit the body on hard drop. Too close for my comfort.

I installed a 5mm spacer and the clearance is now fine. Its close but does not hit or cause any damage.

I cut the spacer from 5mm aluminum bar stock. I just picked up some longer bolts at the hardware store. I will try to get some pics but it is pretty straight forward. Get some aluminum, trace the crash bar center connection, cut it out, drill the bolts holes, paint satin black, install with slightly longer bolts. Good Luck!:D

thanks. I like the way the bars look and I really need to get some protection but they sure are pricey.

Found these http://xplorermoto.com/accessories.html#f650guards but am waiting for some more pics and to hear if anyone else has used them
