Zia, if you end up in Fairbanks, stop in at Trails End BMW and say hi. Would like to meet another Tiger 800XC rider.

Safe travels to everyone and enjoy D2D!

I am going to be for a couple of days. I have a few friends there to visit from when I lived there. So I'll swing by.

Four of us are heading out on 6/25 from Norte Karlifornia to Deadhorse. We will cross into Canada at EastPort,ID head north. Carved out 4 weeks for the trip and some of us may take ferry on the way back from Prince Rupert to Port Hardy. Hope to see some of you out there.

I took the 15 hour ferry from Prince Rupert to Port Hardy last fall while leading a group of 18 Swedish riders from Anchorage to Seattle. I got very bored with the scenery. I very much prefer the ferry from Haines/Skagway to Prince Rupert. Amazing coastline!

Well after riding the new BMW GSA I changed my bike of choice for this trip. The Beemer is better suited for my passenger and the ride quality is unmatched IMHO. So I added one to the stable :D

Our route from UT is Yellowstone Park, Glacier Park, Calgary, Dawson Creek, Muncho Lake, Whitehorse, Tok, Fairbanks, Prudhoe Bay, the Anchorage. We are camping 2 days, hotel 3rd night, then repeat. From the experienced AK riders, do you recommend making reservations for camping, hotels? I prefer to not make reservations so we can ride at our own pace and make changes on the fly. What do you recommend?

Originally planned to leave eastern NC no later than July 8th, but invitation from buddy may push my departing date up as early as after Father's Day.. Hope to see some of you on the road, June or July. Ride safe!

I will be flying into Spokane on 10 Jun and expect to ride north 11 or 12 Jun if everything goes right. I intend to stop at D2D on the way home to Fairbanks. I don't expect to take any detours or excursions this time.

Hey Brad ...shouldn't you be posting a warning to visitors about your fetish for tubeless spoked aluminum wheels.
