Well we can't give too much away Pezz although i will say its being built to tackle the Beeminator........
Went and had a look yesterday evening......its a frightful machine. Runs terrible, and has a rather flamboyant paintjob. Will see how i go Saturday, these things are pretty easy to work on.

When they work the servo brakes are unreal. If the brakes aren't strong there's something (probably costly) wrong.

So this happened this afternoon. Looks good, runs like a dog. I'll get stuck into it tomorrow night and have it purring again.

Looks good in the pic after i gave it a quick wash. And yes, its an ex SA Police bike. Those bars are a bit of a bugger to remove actually. They probably won't go back on. I have it half stripped of bodywork and already placed an order for filters and plugs etc. I think a good tune may just be all it needs.

It's worth taking the crash bar mount off, it weighs a tonne. I also took the speakers out of mine for more weight saving.

If it runs like a dog. The first thing I'd check is that the throttle cables are correctly seated in their adjusters at the throttle end. They easily get snagged and slip out of their seats

    Nice lookin bike!

GL. looks like a keeper with a bit of tlc !
Ps back roads dirt touring -
    - a well maintained pre-filter in the Air Inlet Snorkel will pay dividends many times over.
    - Tyre wise ..if your were thinking of a TKC70 ?
Include the Pirelli Scorpian Rallye STR in your considerations.
I'm first set into the Rallye -70/30 bigger knobs wider set apart between knobs - than the STR.
And the tyres do change dramatically the response from the GS in the dirt as compared to the
OEM (90/10) mainly black top tyre.

Looks good, but I am biased.

Have done over 500,000klicks on Kays, bricks, or eskys. Love em, my first was the only one to suffer throttle problems, easily fixed roadside. Move to another notch/gear and adjust cable. Weird gear drive with bevel gears, but more compact than a magura twin cam mx/enduro assy
