Ha. Very good. Enjoy your bike, and don't worry what anyone else says.

Best line ever about my Buell by someone who rode a VStrom:

That's not oil, that's menstrual fluid. Drop a midol in the tank.

I just turned over 6K, 40% off road and have only had a fuel gauge problem that was easily repaired under warranty from the dealer. I just completed a 75 mile off road ride with a bunch of guys on true "dirt" bikes, it was great not having to refuel and at the end of the ride not having to load up in a truck! It is pretty amazing to be able to do a ride like that and then also shoot up the coast on HWY 1 for 500 miles of road touring. Big thumbs up from me, I am super pleased.:clap

I'm from Australia and don't watch much television ... so I have no idea what you are talking about! Perhaps I am channeling Microsoft ... that's Scary! :eek1

I am using Windows 7 on this computer, at the risk of offending Apple Fan Boys ... Its very good, I have completely lost interest in switching to a Mac.

I think many people become disenchanted by their dealer and not the bike. Every vehicle has issues but my old dealer was very difficult (putting it politely) to deal with. I think some folks have had more issues than others but when the dealers are difficult to deal with the web boards often become your only way to figure what is going on. I have 15k on my bike and have pretty much had all of the problems people experience with this model. I am glad people posted the stuff as it help me get the bike fixed and back on the road.

    Bike issues
84 GL1200 Goldwing- cracks in trunk, bad alternator, head gasket
2001 KLR 650 - Doohickey went boom, poor brakes, poor suspension
2000 1150GS - Final drive failure, fuel gauge

All were great bikes that I don't regret buying. My buddy bought a brand new ST1300 and he has had all kinds of leaks from the base gaskets which were replaced under warranty as was the water pump. They are machines and they are not perfect. Except for V-Stroms or so I hear over and over and over.......
