Why no Central America maps from Garmin?

I was just checking out the Zumo XT, but Garmin seems to believe the world ends in Southern Mexico and starts back up in Panama. Is there a way to get a map that includes Central America?

These allow the use of OpenStreet Map downloads in Garmin IMG format. I use them all the time on my Zumo 595LM

Thanks! I was looking at the Garmin site and found it very surprising that they don't cover CA.
