Made another Aucilla trip yesterday. Explored the east side of the WMA for the first time. Attaching track for others who want to explore the area. I made the track at home and need to let everyone know that the southeastern portion of this track does go through 3miles of a hunt club. Gates were open or passable on the sides but the section north of Goose Pond needs to be updated to stay on WMA.

I live up in Monticello. I have ridden once or twice down around there. My schedule is pretty full but would love to go down there again.

My son and I are going to get some riding in tomorrow. I think we will park the trailer out by TCC and head out into the national forest. We are trying get some butt time in before the trans Florida ride. Maybe a hundred miles or so. We are not trying to find mud holes or anything just dirt roads and trails. I'm not really familiar with all the roads in the ANF but it will be fun exploring. We will be leaving 1or2 oclock.

Tallahassee rider checking in, looking for some dirt trail adventure riding. I've been mostly a street rider but adding the trails to the options to make things more interesting! I Have a VFR800, KTM690 Enduro and CB550F. Cheers!

Also the Honda (or a sportster) would be great out there... YMMV:nod

I have one in a tube mounted on the bike, also this has the additional dual tanks for an extra ~3 gallons. Your KTM looks great!

Nice to see some activity here. I made a late afternoon run after the rain ended. Hickory Mounds empoundment is now open so I made a run down there after I parked my truck at Wacissa Springs. Also went to Snipe Island WMA and came back north via Aucilla roads 14,18 and 25. Got to practice some Aucilla deep water crossings. No stalls, no wet feet.

:nod though that kenda 270 on the front made the VT500 more of a dirt bike
The forward controls on the 1200 made it a little less of a dirt bike :lol3

Im just north of you in Thomasville. Got a 950 Super Enduro and an FJR1300. Always looking to ride, never run into anyone when I am out though. Post up when a couple days before you head out on a ride. Id love to get out on some dirt. Was out last weekend in North GA for some cold, wet, rocky riding with a group of 950SE riders. Quite the opposite of here.

Wanted to post a pic or two of my trip Sunday to Hickory Mound WMA and Aucilla. There was a lot of water but I just had to take a ride.

I rode over there yesterday morning, came in from the Econfina River rd. to Leroy Tedder Grade. Nothing but great scenery and wild life. The roads are firm and dry for the most part, later in the year coming in from Cow Creek Grade there can be a lot of soft sand. Looking across the impoundment the new grasses had a very nice look against the water and sky.
I cant say that I will be available for a ride in the near future as I hope to be on the road but round up a crew and get out there soon.
