It was a damp and dreary start to the day. Sixty some miles for me to get to the start in Jim Thorpe and I had already had a few slides in the corners. Jim Thorpe to Wilke Barre was thirty miles all on twisty, wet, oil covered roads, but everyone made it without incident.

Misty and foggy, there'll be no dust today. Let the dirt begin.

Didn't your mother tell you not to bring a butter knife to a dirt bike ride!

If the hill wasn't tough enough, there were two streams to cross at the bottom. The first had six foot high banks to scale, the second was only about three feet high. OH MY!! Uncle Robert descending into the first stream crossing.

    WOO HOO!! He made it!

I had slid down to the bottom of the hill to take pictures, which meant I had to crawl back to the top of the hill to retreive my bike! I thought I was going to die!

Finally, we were all down the hill. Thank GOD! Onward we went.

We had dropped onto a dirt road with trash dumped on either side of it as we headed for blacktop. 150 feet from the road, a guy (assumed to be the property owner) and his buddies blocked our way and wouldn't let us continue. He said we would have to go back the way we came, I don't think that was going to work too well. But, JT Dave negotiated our release. I think that he gave him a coupon for a free burial, good to the end of the month.

Going downhill usually means you'll eventually have to go back up. And up we went. MONO Mike is back.

We rode this abandoned rail bed. Part of it had washed away. It was quite a drop! No recovery if you fall down there!

Not far from there I found a logging trail. I just couldn't say no! Unfortunately, it was a dead end. Imagine that!

Spooky, spiral tree. Good for a human sacrifice. Time for me to leave, I don't want to be a volunteer.
