Thats from a 2001 Dakar price new is like 180 or so they pop up on ehbay once and a while.
Still using the plastic (breakaway) hardware, but used rubber grommets and washers to stand the shield off of the fairing about 1/2". This helps to relieve the negative pressure behind the screen. I taped off the screen with masking tape, traced the top off the screen down about 2 1/2", and used a dremel tool with a cut-off wheel (go slow)to make the cut. Came out suprisingly well even for a klutz like me. Finished off with some 400 grit sandpaper. Good luck!
Here's mine...made in Melbourne Australia...

Cee Bailey's XR650l screen modified to fit the DR...
I like that!
What's the bell for?
(Sorry for the quick break in the windscreen thread)
Hey sgoat ...
Which tank panniers are those ??? and are the front straps stock or did you add them ??? Any chance of some additional pictures from the side (will also show the windscreen) also pics of the mounting straps...
I am 6'0 and it worked out well- i would get a little buffeting if I sat up close at high speed. I haven't ridden another screen to compare but it was just a good medium size to give some protection but stay out of the way for offroad- here's a couple more pics i scrounged up- not sure if they show much more...

So, on a Slipstreamer Spitfire, are the two rods that connect at the handlebars and at the windshield the only mounting points? Is there a lower mounting point that I am not seeing?
I'm thinking about one of these for my DRZ.
makes women and small children smile.....
Which MRA is that? Roadshield? Streetshield? Highwayshield?
They're Wolfman panniers. They include all the straps shown. On the front I've attached the right side strap to the left side buckle, and vice/versa for the other side. The rear attaches to the frame on both sides. Works great, rock solid.
Having owned a BMW it's probably $1,000.00
Roadshield. I experimented with different extensions to cut down the wind without causing too much wind steer. I finalized an a piece of lucite 6" wide that sticks up about 7-8". I like being able to rotate the whole screen down when riding tough trails and am pretty happy with it overall.
Ok..... so now I have to question my sexuality or whether or not I have grown up!
