Just got done talking to Brother Bob, he was setting up for spearing and said to put the chains on the Jeep. Drifts are running anywhere from 2-4 feet deep with bare ice between. 4WD may not be good enough.

If you come out and are unfamiliar with the lake, stay on marked roads please. We will have a road plowed to the riding area with plenty of parking space.

I'm just gonna ask since I can't find anything using the search. the V pattern on the tire points in the direction of wheel travel yes?

The V points towards the ground when viewed from the rear for the rear.

And when viewed from the front for the front.

No, What C^2 says. It looks backwards, but that's the way.

I cut up 2 nice oak pallets for firewood too.

FF:thumb I figure you'd have less snow by Quinney, we maight even have less on the east shore. I just thought I'd warn off River Rat from driving across. He's a decent guy but **whisper** he just moved from Sheboygan, and you know how they are

Yeah, what C Squared said - start at 18 and go from there.
    Rule of thumb is
    hard ice = soft tires
    soft ice = hard tires

Personally, I can't usually tell the difference of small tire pressure changes when I'm on the ice. Suspension settings and body positioning seem more critical (to me). The ice has been pretty consistent this season, other than the rainy weekend.

Just throwin it out there while I"m waiting for my tire to heat up infront of the wood burner, but if ya'll like chili, one of these weeks I'll whip up a couple gallons and bring it along with a burner or crockpot.

Just to clarify, there are NO noodles in my chili. As that would then be 'soup' or 'stew'. There's burger, peppers, steak, peppers, tomater stuff, venison, and whatever is in the cupboard :deal
