Well, I'd like to see Fairbanks and venture a little bit on the way to Deadhorse, but my time is running and I have a flight ticket from Vancouver the 13th.Gotta figure how to send the bike back to Italy first....
I guess I will post something here when I am in Anchorage
Congrats on making it to Alaska. Looks like the weather is going to be on your side. Hope you get to see some of it before your trip to Vancouver.
Insanely wet and filthy riding today. Yuck !
I'm taking one of the two bikes out this weekend, probably the Yamaha.
Good to hear you laughing and still enjoying the ride even when you're getting drenched.
I think I woulda been over in the dry lane outta force of habit.
Thanks for sharing. Have fun, Mark H.
Yeah i would have been too, but my turn was coming .
All good, water proof gear ftw !
Alrtought some got into my lid and that tasted like crap !
Okay guess no more posting of winter riding since winter is over now !!
See ya on the road !
See ya on road, watch the sand it's slippery
So does your side car stay on year round ? Or you take it off ?
I got the car because my wife didn't like riding two-up. And I enjoy her going with me and sharing the experience.
With-in this last year since I've had it, so many couples have asked about, when I've been out getting gas or going to the store. There is more people thinking about the sidecars then I thought.
And I felt that motorcyle made the most sense to travel by now a days. With the price of gas and all. Plus she loves riding, winter and summer. And I ride just about everyday.
It doesn't come off
So has the Italian dude made it to Anchorage yet?
Combining the twin disciplines of ice riding and backcountry skiing, today's ride was the approach to a climb up into the Birthday Bowl.
Ride out to the Jack River, where the ice is glare and fast, 5 miles downstream on the Nenana, park the bike and start climbing.
The tiny speck in the center of the frame is my KDX.
Still not above alders.
It is spring. Grizzlies are emerging from their dens!
The ski round trip completed!
An epic spring afternoon in the Alaska Range! Ride back up the rio and home!
Great pictures Piston
That really reminded my of Wyoming, I used to live right off the red desert did a heck of riding in the back country with a 370 RM and some 210 Head skis.
Used to use Ramer bindings and climbing skins
Your pics brought back a lot of memories Thanks
Very cool. That looks like a good time.
