Just can't get into the blacktop/hotel room style rally, even though I own a GoldWing!! :lol3

Great people, but it's not my style of rally.. :dunno But I'm not against bumping it to keep it on everyone's mind... :thumb

I'll be there vending as usual. Looks like my daughter and her boyfriend may be there as well. Don't let the hotel thing stop you. I always camp and many others do to. There is a large area full of tents near rally central. I bet over half the people at the rally still camp.
    See you there. Ernie

Just so you're not dissapointed, that doesn't include beer.. The rally used to include beer, but hasn't for the last 15 or so years. Beer's for sale at the rally, and it's good stuff at a good price, but it's not free.

I went last year for the first time in several, just as something different. It's just not the same as it used to be, and my BMW rally memories aren't what current rallies hold, anymore.

Oddly enough, I think I'll be hanging out just north of Ernie's place while you guys are at the rally. I think the better half and I will be Winona bound for that weekend.:lol3

Oh, and camping is included in the rally fee, as well as couple meals.

Don't get me wrong.. The Wisconsin BMW club is a great club, with a bunch of GREAT PEOPLE, and the rally is what it is considering the current age of riders, and the current age of people that attend the rally... It's just not what it used to be for this rally attendee..

Many of the folks at the BMW rallies today are the same people I sat around and drank with at the campfire OVER 20 years ago.. Tastes change and some don't. I still like waking up in my tent with a slight rally headache.. It reminds me of earlier times.. :)

They added nice campsites with fire rings for us at Chula Vista, but there is field camping also.

I may ride the vintage bike, and stay in a room.
