Mrs Matkal wants to go to the Dell's early September . Neither of us are into waterparks. What else is there?
She likes tourist traps, I hate them.
    Thanks

Circus museum in Baraboo? It's more interesting than it sounds.

Devil's Lake. Great hiking, climbing and swimming. Thats a bit south of the Dells though.

Duck tours are fun. Nice scenery and the opportunity to ride on WWII vintage amphibious vehicles.

Take her for a stroll down the main drag Hwy 23, lots of shops. And the Dells still has an outdoor theater, East on 23 to the first light just out of town Hwy16 take it south just a cple. miles maybe, Big Sky theater on the right. Film the adventure!!
There's also a miniature train north of town on County rd. N

Thanks, everyone, for the info so far. We're going to be there Sept 4th, labor day weekend so i bet the crowds and traffic will be fun. Our (ahem)plan is to go through the UP then into WI then avoiding Illinois on (out of) our way to Dallas to see my daughter. My plan to go through New Orleans :sweeti:drink:drums:kat was voted down by the majority share holder. :becca

I'll try to get her distracted in Northern WI:hmmmmm

My kids loved riding that 15" train. It's pretty cool since it's an actual steam engine. And, there's a pretty high bridge. If you're in to trains, it's worthwhile.
