Did I miss the registration deadline? I see nothing on the website and sent them an email last week with no reply.

    Thanks,

And yes, I now know not to take my feet off the pegs and let them drag in the water out of fear, it was only my second DS ride ever. :dunno

Guess I'll hafta see if I can make the 3 hunny street legalish. The 450 didn't finish last year due to electrical gremilns, I did get to go back early and help cut and sample, er serve the pies though.

What is a good sized bike for this? Is a f650dakar too big for someone that doesn't do a tone of dual sporting?

    Thanks, Lojack

i would say yes, if you dont ride off road much but depends how much you hate your bike and at what point things stop being fun.

i have done it on a dr650 and it was fun but i passed on a few of the hero sections.

I love my bike.:D But it's a pig. Did the T.W.A.T this summer and enjoyed that section that was in a dirt bike trail cluster. But that was only a couple short miles. I've got Karoo's on there right now, the rear is at least half worn. I might think about getting a new rear tire on if I'm going to do this.

    Thanks, Lojack

    YES! Good point.

Lojack- If you want to get fancy, Pick yourself up a roll chart holder... such as this. Other lower tech solutions are taping the roll cahrts to your bike, Sticking them in a tank bag map pocket, or just following someone...

I/we are so looking forward to it. All this rain should make things interesting, although maybe the rain will give that sandy hill a little more traction this year. Who were those two clowns pushing that KTM in Zora's picture anyway? :rofl

Well, I ordered one, But its on backorder so I don't know if it will show up in time. You could always follow me on the road sections and run ahead or hang back a bit off road.

Though I totally haven't ruled out riding the donkey either. :hmmmmm
