Shrine of the Quadalupe in La Crosse has rustic road MM right behind it. Steep and twisty....
That is crazy. My Grandparents had the exact same house in Freeport IL. I mean exact! Same color, same windows, even that support for the porch is identical. It's still there to, I just went and looked at it a couple of years ago. I remember they had to buy an outdoor antenna because the TV's rabbit ears didn't work. You also got no radio signals inside the house.
There's one of those two houses over from me in Burlington.
Go Pretzels! Where was this house? I lived over by Highland College until I was about 10.
On the south side of Freeport. 220 W South St.
I spent a week in Freeport at my Aunt's house a few blocks from there every summer. Go Pretzels!
Not exactly an oddity, but I am going to visit some cheese factories this summer as a way to plan some rides. Today I rode north and stopped at Kugel's Cheese in Lena. After buying a chunk of hot pepper brick I rode north on 141 and then turned west on 8. I stopped at a (closed) wayside on 8 for a little break and a snack. I have learned to like using a backpack to take some longer rides on my Harley Lowrider S.
Kugel's Cheese in quiet downtown Lena.
Wayside on Highway 8
