2018 1200 GSA with TFT, NAV VI , SENA 20S
Wondering if anyone else has this problem , the wonderwheel will not function at all to the NAV VI
it works fine for going through screens on the TFT, but it's like it doesn't even recognize the NAV.
I'm using the BMW ride connected app and the Garmin smartlink app on my Samsung S9 phone.
The only way I can get music or other screens on the NAV I is to manually go into the settings a do it from there....so not the safest way while your moving!
Is it the Apps?, The TFT? :baldy
We swapped the NAV I to another GS with the analog gauges and the GPS worked perfectly through the wonderwheel.
Any thoughts on a fix would be great!

I'd start by cleaning the contacts on the mount.

Ditto to cleaning the contacts on the GPS mount. Same happened to me a while back. An eraser seems to do it fairly well.

One question first: you do hold the menu up button for a few seconds to control the Nav, right?

Tried pushing the wheel right and left with a hold of 3 seconds, nothing, scrolling the wheel for zoom in or out, nothing...

Push the button with the ^ symbol for a few seconds. Try again.

Great. Yeah, it's a little annoying, but you get used to the fact that the wonderwheel is always set to the thing you don't want to control at that moment ... ;-)

I just got the Nav VI, parts guy at the dealer showed me how to use it. Made it look easy but he's a little younger than me. I get a little tech challenged sometimes

I have so many manuals for so many gadgets flying around the house and I bet I don't know 95% of the content. It happens ... I liked the integration on my 2014 better, but the TFT by itself is a nice toy as well, so it makes boring interstate runs a bit more entertained when you have something to switch between and look around the various pages from time to time ... have fun with it.
