Wondering if it's time for a 800gs

    v-strom can handle off-road just fine, on either case skills are more important then bike. Granted GS has a bit better engine for dirt because of the torque plus better suspension travel although front is too soft and frame is weak.
    I would stay with v-strom for reliability and solid frame, not to mention money difference.

    Might be an ok deal, but I found an excellent deal on a 2014 with all of the electronic goodies with 584 miles from a craigslist seller. He had the touratech handguards and skidplate along with another $1,000 of accessories. Paid him $7,500 for it. I did drive 6 hours each way to get it but well worth it. Do an expanded craigslist search and you might find one.
