My wife's new F750GS came with the Nav "pack" installed.

Since day one the GPS sometimes kicks on when the bike starts, sometimes
it doesn't. Before we take it back to the dealership, where I'm sure it will work
perfectly, I was wondering if anyone else experienced this.

I wish I knew if it was the connection at the mount, or if it's just a wonky nav.

    Anyone?

Follow the wire from the mount to where it plugs into the harness and make sure it's plugged in tight. The connection should be below the windscreen on the right side in front of the steering yoke or triple tree. Pretty easy to find.
The only other place to check is the mount cradle connections themselves. The bike should have come with a cover plate that is used when the Nav is not in the mount. Without the cover plate moisture can get in the mount when the Nav is not installed and cause issues as the cradle is only water resistant when the Nav or cover are installed.
