regularly driven 2-4 times a week.

    wolf rx-50 with 49cc gy6 qmb139 engine.

    battery 12.x volts.

full voltage at the starter push button.

no voltage at the starter when starter push button is pressed.

    ideas?

    tks,

Starter solenoid defective would be my hunch, f it has one. Can be tested by bridging with piece of thick wire, with all safety precautions.

At the least clean the battery terminals, and then clean the 2 high tension terminals at the solenoid, and check that the smaller wires are still properly connected there.

That is the starter relay. If you're reallllly careful you can jump the two posts there with an INSULATED screwdriver and if the starter spins then that's your problem.

First pic is probably the CDI.
    CDI for "capacitor discharge ignition".

Second pic? Only two posts so probably not a starter relay.Looks like an overload protection relay.Any markings on it?

    Tks. Batt voltage is 12.8

Batt plus to one red on starter relay is 12.8. the other red onthis starter relay is zero volts.

That same other red on starter relay to starter is 2.2 ohms.

Confusing is that same other red on starter relay to engine gnd is 5.8 ohms.

    Ur thoughts?

    Tks, paul

You haven't shown the two small wires attached to most if not all starter relays. So for now my guess is that it is an overload protection relay.

    In any case......there you go:

Ohms? As per your readings?Maybe some clues that the starter is cooked? Cooked from repeated long starting attempts from your previous problems with that Chinese scooter?Starters are not designed to operate under load for a longer time. That usually overheat them and shorten their life.

Ohms readings ? Somewhat meaningless unless you tell us what scale was used on your Ohmeter.

It worked for a few days with new switch, now its dead again. Now both sides of the start switch have 12.7 volts even with key removed and brake not engaged. Switch is fine.

    Ideas?
