Clearly this tiny 4x4 is highly highly modified, but it's built from a standard Suzuki SJ, so it retains its factory vehicle identification number and has a horn and lighting and etc. I know Oz has a legal limit for maximum diameter of tyres (tires, you Aussies) and the mud terrains gracing this rig likely far exceed it, but obviously putting on smaller rubber is easy. And look! There are full coverage mudguards (fenders, you Aussies) front and rear.

    So...street legal?

    No picture showing...

Tires only allowed to be 2 inches taller and wider than stock.....

Probably not legal but if you get it engineered (costs $$$$) yes.

Do you guys have regular inspections or is it only if a cop notices and cites you?

Might be able to be engineered for uber dollars - but at face value, no, not street legal at all. And even if you went to the vast expense of having it engineered, local plod would pull you over every 5 mins.

Not street legal at all--why? Even with tires inside the legally limited size?

And why would plod be targeting it?

In terms of why plod would target it, have you ever met an Aussie Highway Patrol officer? ... :rofl

Sigh, we've got such pleasantly lenient vehicle mod laws here in 'Murica, going elsewhere sometimes can be really annoying when suddenly coming up against foreign departments of transportation. :baldy

Yes, absolutely betterer. But the only thing I like almost as much as a custom moto is a custom 4x4. So I want both, and your nanny govt is...grrrr...:bluduh

Should I leave my custom motos and just buy local Aussie, too? Perhaps just pick up a local Aussie wifey while I'm at it?

No chance! Money is just money, but custom motorbikes and trucks are like wives! :gerg
