    Hello

When checking for play in the small end conrod-bushing. I find NO play in movement direction. But i can feel i a very little if i wiggle the wrist pin, from side to side. How much is acceptable? And how should i check for play?

    Perm,

I pondered this on a 90s earlier this year.

Bearing shells and con rod bolts are not very expensive to replace, if you are in that far to the engine.

Made sense to replace as part of a new top end/cylinder refresh, in my case.

There was/is a post on wear/play for those parts somewhere here, if you can find it.

Wear limit 22mm+.040 or .8661+ .0016". Measure with micrometer and snap gage or dial bore gage.

It is supposed to slide side to side (or end to end depending on how you look at it). With new wristpin clips installed (always) it should be minimal but present. If it can rock, not good.
