Well Friday I never made it out of the infield so I couldn’t see most of the track. The garages, paddock, hospitality rigs, vendors, food, and paddock show are all in the infield.

But all you can see of the track is the front straight, the last turn, and turn 5. I just walked to the track Friday so I didn’t have any wheels. To get to the perimeter road you go out through a tunnel and it’s a hike to turn one.

So today I rode the Moto and for the race I rode down to the turn one gate and watched the race from turns 1,2,3,4

You can hardly see the track from the perimeter road, by design it’s hidden behind berms and walls. So you have to go to one of a few gates to get inside the wall, the passes have bar codes and they scan your pass to allow entry.

Tomorrow I’ll head up the hill to check out the other spots. But yeah it’s wild. I’d love to ride it!

It seems everyone's "racing" except JR- who looks like he's just out for a ride.

image.jpg So today I’m hiking all around the perimeter. Yes the track is spectacular! Very much like Laguna Seca. Only nicer. Nice cool sea breeze up here too.

Just watched stk1000. Next is 300ss 600ss then sbk. I’m hoping for a better race for Jake and Leon!

So I spent the day hoofing it around the perimeter from the last turn to the first and back again, watching all the races from all the places. Absolutely amazing track! So technical with all the ups and downs.

Well that second race was much better than the first. Good riding from Ven Der Mark who gets my vote as most improved rider of the year. Unfortunately my prediction of Rea doing the double...

So much drama in the 600 supersport race. Enjoyed WSBK race 2. Have to give Davies and Mahias huge thumbs up for effort today. A season's worth of grit on display.

These SSP300 races are damn fun to watch.
