    Hey Fellas,

My brother and I are on a cross country trip from the East Coast out to California and down to Baja. He figured finding a tire in the Houston area wouldn't be too difficult but that's not been the story.

Anyone have a 120/90 (metric 4.5-5.0) - 17" or know a good place we can find one this weekend? Even a used one in decent condition would help. He was looking at the Shinko 700 or 244 but were open to others of course.

We're actually up in Conroe with some family and have checked the big place here, Cycle Shack.

    Any help/advice is appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Chris

Cyclegear down I-45 might have one

    Ks motorsports on hwy 59

    Motorcycles Unlimited on 1960

    2wheeled toyz WAY down I-45

    Wild West Honda in Katy

I have a 180, but I doubt it will fit.

BTW, I might be able to be talked into riding the WR tomorrow.....I am in Conroe too :D

Thanks for the suggestions, we tried most of those places.... I guess stocking 17" dual sport tires isn't popular in the area. But we found a Kawa dealer in Albuqerque that's got us covered.

Hey 175grams.......sorry to hear about y'all's dilemma.

You might try posting at twtex.com ....... Lots of Houston dual sporters on that forum..... And especially in the "General Dirtiness" "Honda XR650L Owner's Sign In" thread.

One of 'em might have what you need.

    Good luck with your search.

Thanks BikeJones - we're over in Abilene now and found a Kawa dealer in NM with some tires.

That's good to hear..........I was thinking y'all might have been stranded in Conroe until you found a tire........I'm glad that isn't the case.

Hope everything goes smoothly on your trip to Baja.
