It was early factory prototype for the KTM 950 Adventure. Later, Body work was modified in final form. This pic is 2-3 years old.

Wow. I think I like the prototype version better. Still, the Advebture is a sweet bike, no matter the styling they chose.

There would be very few of you at a "950 Adventure Prototype Appreciation" Club meeting... :lol3

That thing was largely regarded as the ugliest bike many jhad ever seen...I'm sooooo happy KTM changed the styling!

Now I realized what this bike reminds me of :

    the "Aprilia Moto 600 " (or 650 ?) :puke2

    designed by stark

Looks like a blender a very powerfull coffee macinge.

It's near the duke styling though...

That would be the Moto 6.5, designed by Philippe Starck.
IMO it's a great example of what you get when you have a designer do a whole bike: a strange looking contraption, but with some very original (and even useable) ideas. I think it's great when motorcycle companies actually have designs like this developed and built: they should be appreciated for the risk they take in this very conservative motorcycle world...

And if this is near the Duke styling, our 950's are near the GS1200, OK? :D

    I want a Moto 6.5. :nod
I like the styling of the prototype 950. I don't think it looks much like a dirt bike but I would love to ride that bike to work everyday. I'm drawn to my 640 for the styling considering other bikes in the class. I can see how that bike wouldn't fit the mainstream but I like.
