There she goes -- off to the breakers! :cry

Swapped out the rear DMC car wheel and adapter, swapped out the Ohlins front and rear, seat got totaled and so did the panniers, so all that's left for the salvage yard is what you see here.

Still haven't decided what to do with the sidecar. Or, for that matter, what to do with my life.

Sad end to a bike that gave me a lot of good times. :2cry

Oh no!! :cry:cry I'd hoped it would be salvageable, alas...

do you know if you'll be starting a new rig, or holding off for a while?

Even your nemesis thought it was one of the nicest turned out rigs anywhere, it s sad seeing it like that, and hard to believe it's the end of the story.

That was a great looking rig and I always enjoyed your ride reports.
You & Kirby are part of the reason I got a GS rig. I hope you get another rig and we can go for a ride together

Sorry for getting ahead of you, Ned. ....YES, Neds sidecar would fit with modifications to the subframe since it's a 2007 GS. Jay can do these mods in a jiffy!

    cheers...

Hi Ned, Sorry to see your bike going, to bad the insurance company did not offer you a better deal.
On a brighter note, We have an Expedition body on hand now if you are still thinking about going with one.

BUGGER :cry Not good news there Ned. That was one great looking outfit you had there .
I bet the dog is missing his rides .
Our dog still sits in the sidecar or on the bike seat for hours on end .

    All the best

Really bad news Ned. It was really fun meeting you and WUMPA at Hell's Canyon a couple of years ago. Reading your RRs also kept me up way too late for many a night.

Here's hoping you put together a new setup and keep those fascinating stories coming. Best of luck friend.

:cry :cry :cry You have to keep doing the sidecar thing, you just gotta. Your thread was one of the main ones that got me into this, and it would be sad to see you permanently off the road three-wheeling it. I very, very much hope this isn't the end, just a tiny bump on the road. I'd hate to head up to the PNW and not have you there to show me more of the various forest trails...

At the very least, you'll keep motorcycling, right?

Gypsy, I can give you half an answer. I'm definitely selling my Guzzi and I'm definitely done with two wheeling.

    One too many crashes. :muutt

Two wheeling? Okay is it fair to read into that in the way all of us here would like to? :D
