I used to travel up there before the road was paved and remember that the old bridge was a ways upstream of the new one and the canyon wasn't quite as deep under it. I remember when the new bridge was first completed some smart-ass from WyDOT put up "No Fishing From Bridge" signs at either end. It's 400 feet to the water for crying out loud. :lol3 :fishie

That is such a glorious place to ride, I've been known to get "stuck" in that area for hours, just going back and forth on the high speed sweepers... I was doing that once and I saw another guy that was doing the same thing, we'd meet and every time we'd pass each other our waves got bigger. I know what you're doing, Dude! :D

Somewhere I have a picture of me “fishing” from the bridge. I figured it was stupid enough to be funny so I stopped, got out my collapsible fishing rod and stood in the middle of the bridge while my wife rolled her eyes and snapped a pic from over to the side where you could see the depth.

Then again, maybe the sign was for idiots like me!

Ha! I found some old photos of that very bridge:

I'm not sure there's enough line on the average spin-cast reel to actually reach the water... :lol3

I had to be in Cheyenne on 9/3 and that evening I was overcome with nostalgia and took a drive to Vedauwoo (pronounced vee-da-voo), a unique area of Sherman Granite boulders. In my youth when I was nothin' but nuts, guts and muscle :imaposer I'd drive up from Laramie nearly every day to climb and rappel here. I DID NOT climb or rappel that evening but I took a few poor quality photos so this thread would stay on page 1 for a bit longer.

While I was sitting at the bar, young guy and his gal came up to the stools. He got on and sat side saddle.

Just found this thread. I have a ton of Wyoming pics but I wanted to post something that maybe isn't too much of a repeat of what other guys have posted.

This pic here I call "Waiting for the Storm". Location was this very crowded campsite on an alkali lake (Soda Lake) north of Pinedale. If you're wondering what's up about the sidecar, ALL my pics are sidecar pics.

I like this pic because of the contrast in colors from the cheery optimistic tent in the foreground to the gloomy foreboding in the distance. BTW, no Photoshop. Other than cropping, this is the way the pic came off the SD card.

You WYO Riders gave this wetsider such a nice response to my first post in this thread (about 4 posts back) I thought I might try another. I searched the thread for the Ten Sleep Brewery (which BTW is owned by an inmate) and didn't see any, so here ya go ---->

    DSCF0305.JPG

Breweries don't look much like this around my neck of the woods.

Some shots from a recent trip to the Meteetse area.
First is on a FS rd. (#204 A1?) West of Meteetse near Pitchfork. Next is an old school building near Hamilton Dome. And then, one from the Jack’s Creek trailhead at the end of FS rd. 208
This was a really interesting area. Met an ‘almost local’ that said I need to get back and go up Wood River Road to Kerwin, an old ghost town. Hope to make it!
